Monday 08/04/2013 - XIAHE (Gansu province).
Arrival at Lanzou.
Lies with our two train mates.
The square in front of Lanzou's train station.
We managed to find the right bus, leaving few minutes later.
Xiahe.
Open (and cold) transport in Xiahe.
Our prefered yak-food restaurant, in the corner building at the top floor.
Shoe shop.

Shoe shop.
Xiahe, Labrang Tibetan Monastery.
Young monks, exercising demanding yoga postures.
Papier-maché dragons, prpared for the yearly festival.
Senior Yellow-hat monks.
Boots of the monks, left outside the temple.
How will they recognize their own pair?
The Mongolian grasslands around Xiahe.
Far in the grasslands: a village (below) and a Buddhist monastery (above).
A monk bringing us to a cave temple.
It was not easy to convince him as it was rude cold.
While exploring the cave temple, local devotees arrived.
And they started praying, simply ignoring us.
Another village in the grasslands.
Lies making her evening prayers using the many praying wheels.
Leaving with some regrets due to our tight schedule,
else, we would have stayed for some more days...

Leaving Xiahe.
Leaving with some regrets due to our tight schedule,
