One of the 7 Holy places Hindus must visit in their lifetime, taking a Ganga bath.

Here the river is reasonably clean, leaving the mountains, entering the plains.

Haridwar is one of the 7 Holy places Hindus must visit in their lifetime.

A bath here purifies from all of their sins.  Mine too?

 Taking the second Ganga bad of my life, again in Haridwar.

In Haridwar the water is still reasonably clean, but cold!

Having taken their purifying bath, the pilgrims return home with this kind of souvenir.

A nicely decorated bamboo stick with bags at each end, filled with plastic water bottles. 

Some came by bike, and decorate their bicycle in a similar way.

I saw many of them walking back to Delhi, that's about 250km.
